What’s new at mandarine’s ?

October 12th, 2006

In case you had not noticed the tiny line in the sidebar, I have started to maintain a what’s new page, so that I (and you) can keep track of modifications on the blog structure. Think of it as my configuration management system, although I will not go so far as to assign release numbers (mandarine is always a beta version anyway).

There have been two important modifications recently:

  • I have added links to all the blogs I read and keep track of (and like a lot, otherwise I would not bother).
  • I have adorned my founding post with very fine pictures from my personal stock.

Future modifications might include:

  • a list of future posts in the sidebar,
  • a two-column layout in single post viewing mode.
  • cleaning up the messy header in IE.

The photos are a very nice addition. I’m glad you posted those.

And I’m very honored that you would include me in your very select list of “literate blogs”… I don’t know much about photography though, so I assume you’re probably referring to my visual “playground” entries. Either way: Thank you!… I also follow your site. You’ve been on my feed reader for some time, and although I don’t always comment, I always enjoy your posts.

Whether you keep linking to me or not in the future, you have officially become part of Mafe Maria’s Sentimental Site Trivia (i.e. First blogroll link excluding those from relatives).

I was indeed referring to your visual entries. I have changed the category name to ‘about visual art’ so it better reflects the blogs I intend to list there.

“I have removed all references to post or comments dates that I could find in the theme. My blog is now officially timeless.”

I like this. It introduces some difficulties because, as bloggers, we are so accustomed to linear time while visiting blogs. Even then, I like it.
