I have no cat but I totally relate... as I am a kind of lazy red-hair girl myself. I'm looking forward to my next nap in the sun (this weekend if the weather allows)!

Clever! I will have to try this method with Puck. With enough photovoltaicats in operation, we may be able to produce enough direct current to power a can opener.

Yes I have. All I have to do is sit down, call 'viens mandarine', and the heat buildup transfers to my lap via a 15' charge cycle before I am too hot or the cat is discharged and jumps away. The only drawbacks of the system are the very loud low frequency noise (sounds like a 12V-50Hz voltage transformer) and the static electricity.

M: What an ideal image for Mandarine's Monday maiden voyage. Looking forward to subsequent installments.

Have you found a way to capture and transfer the heat buildup from the feline solar cell?
