Happy Hammock Season to you and yours, dear Mandarine. May it be sunny and relaxing.

  2. Tai Says:

Doesn’t the opening of Hammock Season signal the closing of Sock Season?

  3. mandarine Says:

Same to you, Charlotte, when your season starts.

Tai: no. There will be a separate closing of the sock season some time in May, I am afraid. As people say here: “le fond de l’air est frais”.

  4. Emily Barton Says:

Hmmm…must go get a hammock, then. Oh, and a porch swing for the porch we now have.

  5. Tai Says:

Ah. In my horrifically poor French, that means the air’s bottom is fresh. Yes of course! That explains it.

  6. mandarine Says:

Emily: do find yourself a fair-trade hammock, and you’re one step further on the voluntary simplicity / epicurean life path. I hope it will not be too conspicuous; I am not sure about how politically correct epicureanism is in your whereabouts (and your ‘position’).

Tai: if you can translate and understand such idioms, your French is really not that poor.

  7. Susan Says:

*sigh* you don’t have any snow there. Ours is almost gone….but still too cold for a hammock. tomorrow it’s supposed to be warm enough to drop wearing a sweater!!! I’m so excited! so your picture is like a lure….soon it will be warm enough to lie in the sun again…gorgeous colours on the hammock, by the way. You have the epicurean life down pat!!!

  8. mandarine Says:

We did have snow three weeks ago. But now, we’ve already moved on to spring.
