Lovin’ your pencast, Mandarine. I relate most to 2, 3 and all the fives. I think the stay-at-home parent’s version of #2 is “phone a friend”. I agree completely that the fouler the weather, the more calories in the dish, but you are going to have to tell me what aligot is. Sounds like a lamb stew, but I could be wrong.

Aligot is a typical dish from where I live. It is 1/2 mash potatoes, 1/2 cheese (and some add 1/2 cream). Sometimes some garlic is added. You toss, stir, churn the lot on the stove until you can make meter-long threads and you serve with saucisse confite. Definitely a winter-time recipe.

Sounds delicious; like the kind of thing to feed children to make them sleep. Grown-ups too.

Get thee behind me cheese, indeed. I have a whole BUNCH of cheese on my behind, unfortunately!

But seriously, Mandarine. The reason I tagged you was I just knew that you would have a whole different set of things to do, and I was right. I also love the fact that you redefined the whole parameters of the meme.

Somehow I cannot manage to do a meme exactly as it was intended. I often find I am changing the rules one way or another. Maybe hidden deep down in me is a true rebel.

Well, I don’t think I could ever find myself writing code while in an apathetic mood (from which I suffered yesterday), but I can certainly relate to a bath with a book and cooking, as well as hanging out with colleagues, which I don’t get to do anymore, so I email and call them instead.

You should really try writing code. Start easy, with a little html, then go to xml, try some php for a change, then a little python, some java, a pinch of c++, and you’ll impress people big time (I mean, do you know any minister’s wife who can do that? — in addition to not being afraid of math…)
