about this blog

Genesis

This weblog started out as a spur-of-the-moment answer to Lorelle VanFossen’s blogging challenge. Posting for this challenge made me realise that sharing personal experience is consubstantial with weblogging, and that I needed a personal weblog in addition to my absidea site on absurd ideas (which you are warmly welcome to pay a visit to).

What this weblog is not

The mandarine weblog does not cover a specific subject. Its identity will be its consistent writing style and its way of thinking.

  • It is not a personal diary. You will not find personal details or anecdotes, although some might leak through now and then.
  • It is neither a political blog, nor a religious blog, nor an activist’s blog, nor a news blog, nor an advertising blog.
  • It does not include ads, it does not seek traffic, it is not submitted to any sort of diggers.

Why I set up this weblog

  • I set up this weblog to post the messages I otherwise used to leave as comments on other blogs.
  • I set up this weblog to share personal views on all subjects I feel like sharing when they do not fit in my absidea blog. I only write things I believe I have original views on; those views are often politically incorrect, and generally not mainstream.
  • I set up this weblog to share my love for brilliantly written blogs on the web, whatever the content; away from hype or hot news.
