A minute of zen meditation
October 7th, 2007I’ve been having tons of work recently, leaving me hardly any time to write. But I still have a minute to stop, take a picture, and meditate. I need to take the picture before I can meditate, otherwise, I am always thinking about light, angles, frames, colors.
This was Friday evening, as we escaped to celebrate our eleventh anniversary. Maybe I’ll show you more pictures of the beautiful place.
I should be going back to a normal writing pattern by the end of the week.
Amazing picture. Happy anniversary, and happy autumn colors! Could a bicycle ever be more serenely integrated into nature!
Congratulations on your anniversary — and lovely picture!
Polaris: if I ever reincarnate into a bicycle, that’s where I’d like to sleep.
Dorothy: the picture was easy. The place was magical. There was even a snow-white barn owl below the roof which took off while I was shooting.
Happy Anniversary! What spectacular color.
A week earlier and the picture would have been just green. A week later and the picture would have been ruined. We got married just at the right time.
Ah, I forgot to say: the color is quite à propos, as we were near Bordeaux.
I love the colours of both the building and the turning greenery … the old bike adds much charm to the photograph too.
Happy Anniversary!
Oh my. The beauty of this scene took my breath away. Thank you for the spectacular picture. And congratulations on your anniversary.
kate, healingmagichands: I was also very impressed with the scene itself. It was actually a sort of patio inside an old ruined building with only half the roof remaining, giving a very eerie feeling of inside-outside.
